Residents urge clearer accounts-payable breakdown and raise parking concerns at Greenville City Council meeting

Three residents addressed the Greenville City Council during the Statement of Citizens on Aug. 20, raising requests and concerns about council materials and local parking rules.

Kevin Carlson (1108 Sprucewood Dr.) told the council he was dissatisfied with the agenda format and said he "would like a breakdown of the accounts payable." His comments asked for greater transparency in the financial reporting provided to council and the public.

Jeff Hines (109 N. Bower) thanked the city for installing lights at the elementary school and raised concerns about the on-street parking ordinance. Hines posed questions to the City Manager about the ordinance and its enforcement.

Mark Lehman (1614 Winter Creek Ct.) commended City Manager Bosanic during his remarks.

The council did not take formal action in response to the three public comments during the meeting record. The items later on the agenda proceeded as presented, including approval of the consent agenda and several contract awards.

The public comment record in the minutes shows community members raising transparency and parking as topics for possible follow-up by staff or council.
