Speakers urge action on recreational marijuana revenue and raise wastewater concerns during public comment

Three people spoke during the Statement of Citizens at the start of the April 2 meeting.

Shawnee Bonner of 500 N. Lafayette shared parts of an article discussing revenue from recreational marijuana and raised that topic with the council. Kevin Carlson of 1108 Sprucewood Drive asked about the wastewater treatment plant and the information provided by City Engineer Hinken, and said he wants improvements in the North Lafayette District. Jeff Hines of 109 N. Bower spoke in favor of recreational marijuana, mentioned other community concerns, and stated he is running for council in November.
