Fluvanna EDA approves consent agenda, grants virtual attendance and adjourns

The Economic Development Authority recorded three procedural actions at its Feb. 9 meeting.

Consent agenda: Jeffrey Potter moved to approve the consent agenda; Reese Peck seconded. The minutes record the consent agenda as approved with a correction. The transcript contains inconsistent phrasing about the vote count; attendance lines show Valerie Palamountain was absent and the transcript later states Joshua Bower abstained due to his absence on Nov. 10, 2025. Based on the attendance and the abstention language, the recorded votes indicate five affirmative votes, one abstention and one absence (yes: Garcia, Gregory, Potter, Peck, Singh; abstain: Bower; absent: Palamountain). The board did not take any separate formal vote on substantive policy during the consent agenda.

Virtual attendance: Jeffrey Potter requested to participate online from Kents Store because he was sick. Joshua Bower moved to approve the virtual participation request, Reese Peck seconded; the motion was recorded as approved 5-0 by Bower, Garcia, Gregory, Peck and Singh.

Adjournment: Reese Peck moved to adjourn, Charlotte Gregory seconded; the motion passed and the meeting adjourned at 5:54 p.m. The adjournment vote is recorded as 6-0 by Bower, Garcia, Gregory, Peck, Potter and Singh.

All three motions were routine and procedural; no substantive policy votes occurred at this meeting. The next EDA meeting is scheduled for March 9, 2026.
