TriSight thanks Lincoln County after release of 136.1-acre deed restriction; project update presented

TriSight executive committee members Kary Burns and Edward Ekstrom updated the Board of Lincoln County Commissioners and thanked the board after the county authorized a Satisfaction and Release of Deed Restriction for 136.10 acres to TriSight WY Holdings LLC. County Treasurer Jerry Greenfield introduced the TriSight representatives and noted the release that the board approved under the consent agenda.

Commissioner Hansen had earlier moved to authorize the chairman to sign the deed-release documentation, and the motion was adopted during the Sept. 6 consent session. At the meeting TriSight’s representatives described project progress and expressed appreciation for the county’s action to clear the restriction.

The commissioners also discussed a separate item involving the Afton Rural Fire Department, which is planning to construct a building on land it leases from the county on Allred Road. Commissioners approved the construction and asked the County Attorney to review insurance obligations; Chairman King and Commissioner Hansen discussed whether the county should transfer title or continue a lease and flagged the potential for setting a precedent if title were transferred.

The board made no immediate decision about transferring county-owned land to the fire district; staff were directed to have the legal and insurance issues reviewed and clarified before any property-transfer action.
