Commissioners approve DFC grant agreement, county match and Schedule A insurance fees; vouchers recorded

Commissioner Harmon moved to authorize the chairman to sign a Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Grant Delivery Agreement for $125,000 with a county obligation to Positive Community Prevention of $30,000 payable over one year; the motion was adopted. Separately, the board ratified a letter to Aaron Pratt at the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration and approved an $1,800 cash match for an EDA grant.

Commissioners also approved Schedule A — Health EZ administrative fees for the county health insurance plan after Dennis McCormack and Gwen King explained increases and open-enrollment timing. The meeting minutes record approval of vouchers and a large vendor/payroll list covering payroll, benefits and vendor claims across county departments.

No additional appropriation detail for the $30,000 county obligation to Positive Community Prevention was specified in the minutes; the board adopted the motions during the consent agenda and directed staff to proceed with the contract and Schedule A execution.
