The Reeves County Groundwater Conservation District board approved a set of routine items at its Oct. 31 meeting in Pecos.
Director Ben Burnham moved to approve the minutes of the Sept. 19, 2024 public hearings and regular meeting; Director Nancy Martinez seconded the motion. Minutes record the vote as 5-0 in favor with a notation that Director David Dominguez was not present for that vote.
Director Ginny Barmore moved, and Director Nancy Martinez seconded, approval of the September financial statements; minutes record the vote as 5-0 in favor with a note that Director Cecil Lee was not present during that vote. A separate motion by Director Ben Burnham, seconded by Director Ginny Barmore, approved payment of September bills; minutes likewise record a 5-0 vote with a notation that Director Cecil Lee was not present for that vote.
The board approved the 3rd Quarter Investment Report on a motion by Director David Dominguez, seconded by Director Nancy Martinez; minutes record a 5-0 vote in favor. The 3rd Quarter Drought Report was approved on a motion by Director Ben Burnham, seconded by Director David Dominguez, with minutes recording a 5-0 vote.
The meeting minutes list those present at roll call as President James Ward and Directors David Dominguez, Ginny Barmore, Cecil Lee, Ben Burnham and Nancy Martinez, with Director Luke Brown absent. The board adjourned at 6:22 p.m. on a motion by Director Nancy Martinez, seconded by Director Ginny Barmore; minutes show the adjournment motion passed 6-0.
The board scheduled its next meeting for Nov. 21, 2024 and a December meeting for Dec. 19, 2024.
