Environmental office reports septic permits and tire collection; CDBG public hearing set for 5 p.m.

During department reports at the May 27 Burleson County Commissioners Court meeting, environmental staff said 107 septic permits have been issued and that the county's tire collection event has concluded but that staff are awaiting the final count. Auction items are being picked up at the Extension Annex, where Anita Gammage is coordinating pickups.

Grants coordinator Raileen Murray told the court that a public hearing for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. today. The minutes record the announcement but do not include additional detail on the CDBG proposal or public comments related to it.
