Personnel and payroll actions recorded in the minutes include acceptance of the resignation of Brian Robinson, full-time jailer (effective March 27, 2024) and authorization to hire a replacement; approval of a one-year, one-step pay increase for Sarah Waters (desk clerk, date of hire listed as 3/27/2023) for satisfactory service; and approval to hire Robert Perkins as Shop Foreman (grade 7, step 8) effective April 15, 2024, pending background check and drug screening.
Financial and contracting items approved include a budget transfer of $700 for Senior Services, multiple engineering budget reallocations totaling $24,432.00, approval of a First Response 911 CAD service quote and coordinating memorandum of agreement, and approval of a three-year renewal contract with Avenu Insights & Analytics LLC for Alabama tax administration services. The commission also approved extending the Trucks and Sons LLC abatement (Resolution #2023-9) to end on December 31, 2024.
By unanimous vote after suspending the rules, commissioners added and approved two agenda additions: authorization for the Autauga County road department to construct an access road for the sewer project, and approval of a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Health to make building improvements. The meeting was adjourned at 5:22 p.m.; the commission reconvenes April 16, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
