Board reappoints three members to Fayette County Public Facilities Authority

Chief Financial Officer Sheryl Weinmann presented the Selection Committee’s recommendations to reappoint three volunteers to the Fayette County Public Facilities Authority. Weinmann described the Authority as a three-member volunteer body that may issue bonds for acquisition, construction, equipping, maintenance and operation of county facilities and noted it meets infrequently, roughly once per year.

The Board reappointed Thomas Gray, Edward Outlaw and Alice Reeves to terms beginning July 24, 2025 and expiring July 23, 2026, with each appointment extended to the next successive term ending July 23, 2027 in accordance with County Policy 100.19 because less than one year remained in the initial term. Commissioner Charles W. Oddo moved to approve each reappointment; Commissioner Eric K. Maxwell seconded and each motion passed 4-0.

Weinmann said the Selection Committee recommended applying Policy 100.19 (reappointment when less than one year remains) to these appointments. The appointments do not involve compensation and do not create immediate County budget obligations.
