The Echols County Board of Commissioners met Nov. 6, 2025, and voted unanimously to support the Rural Transportation Service for fiscal year 2026 and to pay costs related to traffic control for the county's Christmas parade.
Chairman Kenneth Petty requested the motions. Commissioner Stanley Corbett moved to approve the resolution supporting the Rural Transportation Service; Vice-Chairman Bobbi Pohlman Rodgers seconded, and the motion carried 3–0. Later, Vice-Chairman Pohlman Rodgers moved to approve paying the parade’s traffic-control costs; Commissioner Corbett seconded, and that motion carried 3–0 as well.
At the start of the business meeting the board also voted 3–0 to approve the meeting agenda and to approve the Oct. 2, 2025, meeting minutes. No executive session was called. The meeting adjourned at about 7:02 p.m.
Attendance recorded commissioners Kenneth Petty, Bobbi Pohlman Rodgers and Stanley Corbett present; Commissioners Justin Staten and Bobby Walker were absent. County Manager Alan Levesque and County Clerk Shona Carter were listed among attendees.
