Commission approves two retail alcohol licenses for local convenience stores

The Ben Hill County Commissioners approved two retail alcohol licenses during the March 7 meeting.

Commissioner John Mooney moved to approve an alcohol license for Ashaben Patel at Stop N Go; Vice-Chair Hope Harmon seconded and the motion passed with Commissioners Hope Harmon, Bennie Calloway, Daniel Cowan, John Mooney and Chairman Steve Taylor voting yes.

Later in the meeting Commissioner Daniel Cowan moved to approve an alcohol license for Meenaben Patel at Foster’s Fast Stop; Vice-Chair Hope Harmon seconded and the motion likewise passed unanimously.

The minutes record the approvals and the motion votes but provide no additional licensing conditions, application details, or hours-of-operation information for either business.
