The Floyd County Board of Assessors recorded several formal motions and unanimous votes at its Dec. 10, 2025 meeting.
Agenda and minutes: Vice Chairman Robert Henderson moved to approve the day’s agenda (seconded by Member Bill Gilliland); Chairman Peter Jordan, Henderson and Gilliland voted yes and the motion carried 3-0. The board similarly adopted minutes from the Nov. 10 caucus, Nov. 12 regular meeting and Nov. 25 work session after a motion by Henderson and a second by Gilliland; roll call recorded three yes votes.
Consent agenda: Member Bill Gilliland moved and Vice Chairman Henderson seconded approval of consent items 10a–10h (mobile home ACOs, personal property ACOs, real property ACOs, motor vehicle appeal, approved/transferred/breached/denied CUVA items where applicable). The board approved the consent agenda 3-0 by roll call.
Called meeting scheduled: Vice Chairman Henderson moved to schedule a called meeting for Dec. 30, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. to approve the 2026 Mobile Home Digest; Member Gilliland seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
Exempt property application denied: Vice Chairman Henderson moved to deny the exempt-property application for real property parcel I13K010 (Pleasant Grove Church); Member Gilliland seconded. The board voted Jordan yes, Henderson yes, Gilliland yes and the motion carried 3-0. The minutes do not record additional findings or appeals tied to that denial.
Adjournment: Chairman Jordan adjourned the meeting. The minutes were later approved on January 14, 2026 and signed by Secretary Lynn McElwee.
