During Zoning Public Hearing II the board approved two rezoning requests.
The board voted to rezone 1.0 acre at 166 Dennis Station Road from AG to R-2 after agent Tyler Mathis spoke in support. Planning staff had recommended approval conditioned on resurvey and recording of an accurate plat; the commissioners extended the deadline to 120 days and approved the request (motion by Commissioner Jeff Wooten, second by Commissioner Tom McElhenney).
The board also approved rezoning 1.16 acres at 881 Harmony Road from C-1 to C-2 following a request by agent Lowell White III. No members of the public registered opposition and Planning and Development staff recommended approval. The motion carried (mover: Commissioner Steve Hersey; second: Commissioner Tom McElhenney).
Both approvals included the standard requirement that the applicant resurvey and record an accurate plat in Superior Court within the deadline set by the board.
