Screven County commissioners adopt FY 2024-25 budget, award road maintenance contracts

Chairman Will Boyd said the Board of Commissioners of Screven County met in regular session July 9, 2024, at the Screven County Courthouse and voted on several fiscal and procurement items.

Commissioner Allison Willis moved to adopt a resolution approving the FY 2024-25 budget; Commissioner Ben Thompson seconded the motion, and it carried by unanimous vote, according to the minutes. The resolution is recorded in the minute book.

The board also approved two procurement awards. Vice-Chairman J.C. Warren moved to award the roadside trimming and clearing contract to Evans Freight; Commissioner Ben Thompson seconded and the award carried.
