The Tift County Board of Commissioners approved routine appointments and several consent agreements during its Dec. 8 regular session.
County Manager Jim Carter recommended reappointing the county clerk and county attorney; Commissioner Tyler Riddle moved to reappoint Miriam Jordan as county clerk for another year and Commissioner Donnie Hester moved to reappoint Anthony Rowell as county attorney. Both motions were seconded by Commissioner Paul Webb and passed 6-0 with the chairman voting.
The board also approved a consent agenda that included: a facility use agreement with the American Red Cross; an agreement with TruVista for fiber services at EB Hamilton with an installation cost of $6,590.22 to be funded from SPLOST VI and a recurring monthly expense of $264.00 to be funded by the General Fund; misdemeanor probation services agreements with Professional Court Services Inc. for state and superior court; and routine alcohol beverage license renewals as presented by the county clerk. Commissioner Donnie Hester moved to approve the consent agenda; Commissioner Greg Wood seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
