Whitfield County commissioners met on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, in the Courthouse BOC Meeting Room at 205 N. Selvidge Street in Dalton to review the county’s preliminary 2026 budget. Chairman Jevin Jensen called the budget work session to order at 4:35 p.m.
Chief Finance Officer Debbie Godfrey went over the preliminary budget, presenting figures and items for board review and discussion. The presentation was given for consideration and clarification; no motions were made and no formal votes were taken during the session.
Attending officials listed in the minutes included Chairman Jevin Jensen; Vice Chairman Barry W. Robbins; members Robby Staten and John Thomas; County Attorney Robert Smalley; County Administrator Robert Sivick; Chief Finance Officer Debbie Godfrey; and County Clerk Blanca Cardona.
