Cavalier County accepts low bid for HLC-1000(061) safety project and approves KLJ engineering agreement

The Cavalier County Board of Commissioners on May 21 approved a resolution accepting the low bid from 3D Specialties for the HLC-1000(061) Safety Project and authorized an hourly construction engineering agreement with KLJ.

Stanley Dick moved to accept the low bid for the HLC-1000(061 Safety Project; Nick Moser seconded the motion and it carried. Jeff Daley of KLJ presented the construction engineering agreement and noted the county would be responsible for 10% of the engineering costs. Nick Moser moved to approve the KLJ agreement; Stanley Dick seconded the motion and it carried.

The actions clear the way for preliminary engineering and construction scheduling tied to the Safety Project. Commissioners did not provide a detailed total project cost in the minutes; the engineering agreement was described in the meeting as hourly-rate construction engineering with the county share set at 10%.
