The Grant County Board of Commissioners voted March 6 to approve bills totaling $22,558.35 and to take two certificate-of-deposit actions as part of routine financial business.
Commissioner Marty Meyer moved to approve the vendor payments; Commissioner Al Roy Hochhalter seconded, and the board voted unanimously in favor. The minutes list payees including CHS Inc. ($4,760.85), Wallwork Truck Center ($2,211.40), John Deere Financial ($1,210.12) and several other vendors. The full vendor list is recorded in the meeting minutes.
In the same session, the board accepted the treasurer’s report and carried two motions regarding county certificates of deposit. Meyer moved to cash certificate of deposit No. X7571 at Grant County State Bank upon maturity; Hochhalter seconded and the motion passed on a roll-call vote. Meyer then moved to renew certificate of deposit No. X0223 with Dakota Community Bank & Trust for an 18-month term; Hochhalter seconded and the board approved the renewal.
The commissioners also approved a series of abatement applications for 2023 Homestead Credit on parcels 61081200 and 61081100 (moved by Meyer, seconded by Hochhalter), parcel 62094400 (moved by Hochhalter, seconded by Meyer), parcel 10511000 (moved by Meyer, seconded by Hochhalter) and parcel 30264900 (moved by Hochhalter, seconded by Meyer). All motions recorded unanimous roll-call votes.
