Resident request for snow-removal records, homestead-credit abatement approved and county to advertise staffing openings

During the April 3 Grant County commissioners meeting, Mary Roth and Aric Roth asked the board for documents submitted for the 2022–2023 State Funded Snow Removal Assistance program and specifically requested the time sheets for the person operating county plows. Auditor Sara Meier said she would provide as much of the requested material as possible by email.

Separately, the board approved a 50% Homestead Credit abatement for parcel numbers 61067900 and 61068102. Commissioner Al Roy Hochhalter moved to approve the abatement; Commissioner Marty Meyer seconded and the motion carried unanimously.

The board also agreed to place advertisements in the local paper for an operator/truck driver and a deputy auditor to fill county staffing needs. During the meeting Patrick Diehl reported outreach about a Medicine Rock historical-site sign and said he would provide an update in a future meeting.
