The Charles Mix County Board of Commissioners approved two drainage permits at its May 23, 2024 meeting after public hearings opened with no protests. Drainage Permit 2024-01, filed by Sam Fousek, covers the NE¼ and E½ of the NW¼ of Section 35, Township 96N, Range 63W in Bryan Township near 397th Avenue and 296th Street. Drainage Permit 2024-02, filed by the Town of Ravinia, covers the SE¼ of Section 8, Township 96N, Range 64W in Plain Center Township near 388th Avenue and 293rd Street.
Commissioner Nick Stotz moved to approve the Fousek permit and Commissioner Colin Soukup seconded; the motion carried "all in favor." The Ravinia permit was approved on a motion by Stotz with a second from Soukup, also recorded as unanimous. The minutes state there were no protests present for either hearing.
The approvals were recorded in the May 23 minutes; the board did not attach any conditions or refer the matters for further study in the meeting record.
