Student representatives Myrece Moore and Ngoc Dinh offered brief comments congratulating peers; Moore said he looked forward to prom on April 27 and Dinh said the award will help graduates in the future. Board members repeatedly congratulated recipients and praised staff and grant efforts to expand opportunities.
Building administrators reported parent‑teacher conference participation rates and the district’s use of hybrid (in-person and virtual) options and translation services. Reported rates included: PreK–2 (KECLC 64% in-person + 38% virtual/phone; Southeast Elementary 95% in-person + 5% virtual/phone; West Elementary 95% in-person + 5% virtual/phone); grades 3–5 (3rd 88%, 4th 90%, 5th 80%); middle school (6th 50%, 7th 49%, 8th 39%); high school (9th 27%, 10th 31%, 11th 23%, 12th 27%); 54th Street Academy 26%; KVS 94%.
Administrators said they scheduled translators for nine languages and used direct contact from teachers to improve turnout, and noted that parents could tour the new STEM addition during high school conference events.
