The Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 30 to approve two resolutions amending the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority's articles of incorporation and to appoint a new authority member.
Representatives from the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority (BFJRA) ' Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod ' asked the board to adopt Resolution 9 of 2025 to increase the number of board members, and Resolution 10 of 2025 to authorize the authority to appoint police officers who would "have the same rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth with respect to the property of said Authority." Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute both resolutions; both motions passed unanimously.
Commissioner Wible also moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the BFJRA, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027; the appointment passed "All in favor." The actions were recorded as part of the board's regular business agenda and were approved without dissent.
The resolutions authorize the BFJRA to file amendments to its articles of incorporation and to carry out the changes through proper officers of the authority. The board did not discuss fiscal impact or provide additional operational detail at the meeting.
