Loudon County panel approves ARPA allocations and district grants

The Loudon County Commission on April 1 authorized allocations and line-item adjustments involving ARPA funds and other restricted accounts.

Director of Accounts and Budgets Erin Rice presented a slate of recommended ARPA appropriations and fund adjustments. The record shows motions to accept grant awards and to appropriate ARPA funds for district-level grants; among the votes were two $10,000 district grants identified in the packet for District 1A and District 2. Commissioners moved to accept grants with no matching funds required in some items, and to make specified line adjustments across a set of county funds (General Fund, Special Purpose/Opioid Fund, ARPA fund lines, Federal Grant Fund, and General Capital Projects). The motions were seconded and passed by roll call.

Commissioners asked for the record to reflect monthly financial reports and to approve bonds and notaries; those items were also approved during the meeting. The actions were recorded with resolution identifiers in the meeting packet and are to be implemented through the accounts office and appropriate departments.
