Burleson County’s Commissioners Court unanimously approved a 15% contingent-fee contract with Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott, LLP on March 11 to collect delinquent property taxes owed to the county and taxing entities that use the county’s collections. Commissioner David Hildebrand moved for approval and Commissioner Vincent Svec seconded; the motion was recorded as unanimous.
At the same meeting the court approved deputation of Brandon Allen and Ronald G. Huddleston II as deputy sheriffs and authorized a contract with UBEO to supply four copiers for the Sheriff’s Department. Commissioner Robert "Bobby" Urbanosky moved the deputations, seconded by Commissioner Vincent Svec; the copier contract was moved by Commissioner David Hildebrand and seconded by Commissioner Dwayne Faust, each passing unanimously.
The Perdue contract was presented as authorized under Section 6.30 of the Texas Property Tax Code, and the agenda notes that notice of the contract was posted in accordance with Section 2254 of the Texas Government Code. The meeting record shows these procurements and personnel actions were approved without recorded dissent.
