The Llano County Commissioners Court on May 13 approved the consent agenda—with the exception of pulling bids for the jail fire alarm for separate consideration—and recorded several routine actions including awarding bonds and approving proclamations. The court approved proclamations naming May 19–25, 2024 as National Emergency Medical Services Week and declaring May as Mental Health Awareness Month; both proclamations passed unanimously.
The court entered an executive/closed session at 9:45 a.m. to receive legal advice and to discuss items listed on the agenda, including litigation (Mirelez v. Llano County), jail-related matters and statutory references in the agenda to Texas Government Code §§551.071, 551.072 and 551.076. The court returned to open session at 10:25 a.m.; the minutes state no action was taken resulting from the executive session.
After closing the regular session the court opened a FY2025 budget workshop at 10:36 a.m., discussing Building & Maintenance and Road & Bridge before a lunch break. Afternoon workshop discussions covered Elections, the Sheriff's Office and Justice of the Peace Precinct 4. The workshop concluded at 3:36 p.m. and the meeting adjourned.
