Llano County approves $49,711 Motorola change order for PSAP radio and recording upgrades

Llano County Commissioners on April 10 approved a change order with Motorola totaling $49,711 to replace end‑of‑life radio dispatch console equipment, update emergency call recording systems and replace microwave and radio antennas at the county Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).

Commissioner Linda Raschke moved the change order; Commissioner Mike Sandoval seconded and the court approved the item unanimously. The court noted the additional cost had been approved for reimbursement by the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) Board of Managers on March 13, 2024.

The change order was presented as an equipment replacement for end‑of‑life components; no additional amendments or staged funding details were recorded in open session. The court did not convene an executive session on the matter.
