During its March 25 meeting the Llano County Commissioners Court considered several public hearings and land-record matters, approving some variances and replats while denying another variance request.
The court approved a variance for an existing boat dock that would encroach more than 50% into the proposed building setback (motion by Linda Raschke, second by Peter Jones). Conversely, the court denied a variance request for an existing shed that would encroach more than 50% into a proposed setback (motion by Linda Raschke, second by Jerry Don Moss).
On subdivision matters the court approved the plat for a 0.6-acre tract described as Sunny K Subdivision with a stipulation that an existing shed be removed. The court also approved the replat of Lot 110 and 111 in Deerhaven as Lot 110A, and approved the replat of Lot 1 and 2, The Drace, to create Lot 1A and common area. Motions were recorded as unanimous where noted.
Why it matters: These actions affect property rights, development constraints and future building or dock placement for affected property owners in Llano County. The Sunny K approval included a corrective stipulation requiring removal of a shed.
Next steps: County staff and property owners must carry out stipulations (e.g., shed removal) and record approved plats with the county's official records as applicable.
