The Charles Mix County Board of Commissioners approved its monthly financial reports and the day’s bills at a regular session on April 9 in Lake Andes. Chairman Keith Mushitz presided and Vice Chairman Colin Soukup and Commissioner Nick Stotz voted to adopt the reports and payments.
By motion of Vice Chairman Colin Soukup, seconded by Commissioner Nick Stotz, the board approved the Auditor’s Account with Treasurer for the month ending March 31, 2024, showing total deposits and funds of $7,057,399.26. The Treasurer’s Report for the same period—approved by the same vote—listed a beginning balance of $7,134,431.83, total income of $2,053,223.48, total expenses of $2,130,256.05, and an ending balance of $7,057,399.26.
The board also approved the Register of Deeds statement of fees collected in March 2024 in the amount of $12,349.00. The meeting record shows motions to approve the agenda, minutes and the bills for April 9, 2024; each motion carried by unanimous voice vote (“all in favor, motion carried”).
The minutes append a full list of vendor payments and payroll charges across county funds.
