The Grant County Planning & Zoning Board approved two building-permit actions and tabled a conditional-use application at its March 20, 2024 meeting.
On a motion by Matt Hager, seconded by Robert Larson, the board approved a permit allowing Michael Knutson to move a 2024 mobile home and deck onto Lot 19, Block 4, parcel 7-136-89 at 5497 Leisure Ave in Red Rock Subdivision; the record lists the issued permit as RR-03202024-A. Separately, the board approved a building-permit extension for Julie Buckman and Brad Meidinger (Permit EXTENSION-RR-07132023-A) on a motion by Brendan Becher and second by Barb Kraft; both procedural motions passed unanimously.
A Special or Conditional Use Permit application from Fisher Sand & Gravel Co. (Dickinson) for a gravel pit associated with the Highway 49 state project was tabled. The board said the item was tabled until the County Commissioners have a Road Use Agreement to submit with the application.
The meeting record notes that the County Commissioners approved a utility permit for WRT for approximately 77 miles of fiber-optic line; the board treated that as an informational update. Members also discussed the North Plains Connector project timeline and acknowledged that new maps had been emailed to board members.
The board adjourned at 12:24 p.m. MT and set the next regular meeting for April 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
