Fulton County commissioners unanimously adopted the county's proposed 2026 budget and approved a Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution that maintains current tax rates.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve and execute Resolution 8 of 2025, the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution, with no increase in taxes for fiscal year 2026; the motion carried with all commissioners voting in favor. Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed and Chief Financial Officer Mike Lamb presented the budget and said no changes were made since the document's public advertisement.
The commissioners also approved the December 2025 Pension Report as presented by HR Administrator Mary Huston and authorized accounts payable dated Dec. 30, 2025 totaling $112,913.87 (General Fund $98,764.92; Debt Service $14,148.95). Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the Dec. 23 meeting minutes earlier in the session.
The board scheduled routine and preparatory steps for the new fiscal year, including a planned formal appointment of Keller Engineer, Inc. at the county Reorganizational Meeting on Jan. 6, 2026. The meeting record shows the budget and tax resolution were adopted without amendment; no tax rate increases were enacted.
