Fulton County commissioners approved amendments to the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority's articles of incorporation and filled a board seat.
Representatives Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod of the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority requested two amendments: to increase the number of board members and to authorize the authority to appoint police officers with the same Commonwealth property-related powers as other police officers. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute Resolution 9 of 2025 to increase board membership and Resolution 10 of 2025 to authorize appointment of police officers; both motions carried unanimously.
The commissioners then appointed Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the BFJRA, with the term set to expire Jan. 3, 2027. The board also approved an agreement to retain Keller Engineer, Inc. for FY2026; the formal appointment of Keller Engineer will be made at the Reorganizational Meeting on Jan. 6, 2026.
The minutes record the approvals and appointments but do not include debate or details about implementation of the BFJRA amendments beyond authorizing the filings and execution of articles of amendment.
