County reviews $700,000 owner-occupied rehab program; inspector proposals opened

Jenny Matheis of Indiana 15 Regional Planning updated the Dubois County Commissioners on the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program, which carries a total project budget of $700,000.

Matheis said 220 applications were sent and 56 completed applications were received, with town-level breakdowns: Jasper (31), Ferdinand (9), Huntingburg (9), Birdseye (2), Dale (1), Dubois (2) and Holland (2). At the advertised time of 9:00 a.m. inspector proposals were opened; Eric Curtis submitted a proposal priced at $700 per household with a breakdown of services ($370 detailed property inspection with scope of work; $60 rehabilitation specifications for bid documents; $270 final inspection; $50 hourly rate for additional services). The proposal was taken under advisement by the board.
