County engineer reports progress on Unverferth and Greene bridges; Packard RAISE grant decision expected in June

John Riherd, Butler County engineer, updated the Board of Supervisors on March 19 that progress continues on the Unverferth and Greene bridges. He said two additional bridge projects located in Pittsford and Bennezette Townships will begin work soon.

Riherd also reported that the county submitted a RAISE grant application for the Packard bridge and that a decision on the grant application is expected in June. No result was announced at the meeting and no formal action was taken regarding project funding at this session.

The engineer's update was presented as part of routine operations; board members did not raise or vote on amendments to the projects during the March 19 meeting. The board will receive further updates as work progresses and as grant decisions are made.
