The Burleson County Commissioners Court approved a series of routine and administrative items on Feb. 13, most by unanimous vote.
Among the actions the court ratified were a resolution to apply for Office of the Governor/Public Safety Office 2023 State Homeland Security Program competitive funds for cybersecurity enhancements (project #4705701; minimum $2,500, no maximum, no local match required); renewal of ARTS services with the Texas Association of Counties to manage Affordable Care Act employee-hour tracking and 1095 reporting; and approval of quarterly investment reports. The court approved a Special Road Use Permit for Atlas Operating, LLC (Robert Green #2) on County Roads 323, 324 and 373, and adopted a resolution with TxDOT concerning the bridge on County Road 310 at Davidson Creek (NBI 17-026-0AA02-08-001, CSJ 0917-30-064).
The court also approved Breaux Breaux’s fireworks-sales permit for Feb. 25–March 2, recognized the Dabney Hill Freedom Colony’s Texas Historical Commission marker dedication (with Judge Schroeder commending Gloria Smith for her work), and granted a $5,739 Hotel/Motel funding request from the Burleson County Chamber of Commerce. The court selected Bleyl Engineering as the engineering service provider for the 2023 CDBG-MIT MOD program (General Land Office funding) and authorized contract award. Additional approvals included disposal of an HP DesignJet T2500 from the 911 Addressing Office, overtime pay for dispatchers for February, and authorization to pay county bills.
All recorded motions were approved unanimously according to the minutes. The meeting record lists attachments for several items (grant/resolution documents, permit forms, and the CDBG-MIT provider selection) but does not include detailed budgets or contract amounts beyond the Hotel/Motel funding figure.
