Fulton County commissioners voted unanimously Dec. 30 to accept a State Interconnectivity Grant totaling $230,699.51 to support a package of emergency communications maintenance and upgrades.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton presented the grant request, which the meeting record lists as funding for the following projects: SouthCentral Mountain CAD Maintenance; SouthCentral Mountain CHE Maintenance; SouthCentral Mountain ESInet Maintenance; Fulton NG911 GIS Maintenance; SouthCentral Mountain Battery Upgrade; and Fulton ILEC Maintenance. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute the grant agreement; the motion passed with all commissioners present voting in favor.
HR Administrator Mary Huston attended the grant discussion. The grant approval is recorded as a formal motion in the meeting minutes; the record shows no objections or conditions attached to the approval.
