The Pittsburg County Board of County Commissioners on Dec. 22, 2025 approved routine fiscal transactions, declared a county printer obsolete and authorized deposit of a $168,471.05 reimbursement check from the Town of Kiowa into the Highway Sales Tax account.
The board, meeting in the County Commissioners Conference Room in McAlester, unanimously approved claims and purchase orders after review and signature and approved county transfers. The panel also approved sheriff's stipends funded through the Oklahoma Attorney General's Sheriff's Assistance Grant 2026.
Chairman Charlie Rogers read Resolution 26‑146 to declare an HP LaserJet Pro (Serial MXBCN172HY) obsolete and authorize disposal; Rogers moved the resolution and Mike Haynes seconded. The motion passed with Rogers, Ross Selman and Haynes voting aye. Rogers then read Resolution 26‑147 to deposit $168,471.05 from the Town of Kiowa into Highway Sales Tax account 1313‑6‑8040‑2005 for the county asphalt plant; Rogers moved approval, Selman seconded and the board voted unanimously to accept the deposit.
Commissioners recorded routine motions to approve the previous meeting's minutes (Dec. 15, 2025) and the day's agenda. All motions recorded in the minutes passed 3‑0 with no nays or abstentions.
After a short discussion earlier in the meeting, the board later moved to appoint Pittsburg County Treasurer Jennifer Hackler as the county representative to the Peaceable Road Development Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Review Committee and named Chairman Charlie Rogers as the alternate. Ross Selman moved to appoint Hackler and Mike Haynes seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The board recessed for a scheduled 10:00 a.m. public hearing and, after finishing business, signed approved claims and adjourned the meeting.
