The Pittsburg County Economic Development Authority approved its agenda, the Dec. 15, 2025 minutes and $2,275.28 in claims during a regular meeting Dec. 22 at the Pittsburg County Courthouse in McAlester, officials said.
The meeting opened after proper notice under the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act. Chairman Charlie Rogers called the session to order and roll call showed Trustee Mike Haynes absent. Ross Selman moved to approve the agenda and later moved to approve the prior meeting minutes; both motions were seconded by Rogers and passed with two votes in favor and one absence.
The board also acknowledged and approved fiscal transactions and claims totaling $2,275.28 for the Economic Development Trust. The printed purchase-order list included: Pro Kill Inc., pest control service, $500.00; Amazon Capital Services, televisions, $311.90; Oklahoma Tax Commission, sales tax, $846.60; and ACC Business, monthly internet service, $616.78. The authority recorded the approvals as motions with Rogers and Selman voting yes and Haynes absent.
Under new business, Rogers said the racetrack "needs a second turn around to add length for the vehicles to slow down." The remark was recorded but the board did not make a motion, direct staff to seek bids, or allocate funds during the meeting.
Rogers moved to adjourn at the end of the session; Selman seconded and the motion passed. No further action was recorded.
