The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 30 approved payment of the clerk’s submitted claims, signed payroll affidavits and signed the Prairie Grove plat for recording.
The motion to approve the list of claims was made by Commissioner David Beck and seconded by Chairman David Poindexter; both commissioners voted yes. The claims included a $40,000 REAP grant to Lendonwood Gardens Inc., $14,462.07 to Turn Key Health Clinics for medical services, $20,248.00 for fire department bunker gear, and multiple subscriptions, fuel and service charges across county funds. The board also voted to sign affidavits for the Dec. 31 payroll and to sign the Phase I plat for Prairie Grove; Emergency Management Director Jeff Reeves told the board the Prairie Grove property is not in a flood plain and Commissioner Poindexter said the subdivision roads are designated private.
County Clerk Barbara Barnes presented the claims list for approval and recorded the roll-call votes. Commissioners Beck and Poindexter carried all recorded motions at the meeting; Commissioner Jake Callihan was absent.
The approvals were processed as routine business under the clerk’s records and county funds. The motion carried on roll call for each item; the board did not add or withhold funding from any of the listed claims during the session.
The board adjourned later in the meeting after other agenda items were completed. The recorded roll-call shows Commissioners Poindexter and Beck voting yes on the consent items; Callihan was noted as absent in the meeting record.
