Carlisle County names two to library board and approves lease extension with higher rent

Commissioners approved two appointments to the Carlisle County library board and signed off on a lease extension that will raise monthly rent for the courthouse space.

Chair (speaker 2) nominated Vicky Beach and Valerie Bodell to the Ballard Carlisle Library board; commissioners asked about term lengths (speakers discussed two-year terms and possible staggered lengths) and the appointments were approved by voice vote.

In the same discussion, commissioners reviewed a lease extension through 2030/2031 that included a rent increase.
