Union County General Hospital leadership briefed the Board of Union County Commissioners on clinical operations and finances at the April 9 meeting.
Tammie Stump, CEO, distributed the County Commissioner Monthly Hospital Report and summarized March metrics and operational items including provider recruitment, financial-assistance processes, compliance activities, radiology, plant services, therapy services, pharmacy, laboratory/infection control and infrastructure items such as the HVAC/vestibule and a 3,000-gallon cryogenic tank. Stump highlighted ongoing provider recruitment as a priority.
Melissa Prante, CFO, presented consolidated financial statements for the period ending Feb. 29, 2024, using the Clayton Health Systems consolidated executive financial summary and the MOR notes; she reviewed key statistics, year-to-date revenue and expense statements, and the balance sheet.
Amanda Boggs, Chief Nursing Officer, reported on nursing operations, swing-bed usage, social-work consults and trauma-related activity.
Manager Brandy Thompson also provided an update later in the meeting about NMFA loans for the hospital while reviewing county facilities and capital needs.
No formal action was taken on hospital items at the meeting; commissioners received the reports and had the materials on file.
