McConnellsburg, Pa. — The Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Dec. 30 to adopt the county's 2026 budget and to approve a Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution that keeps local tax rates unchanged.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve Resolution 8 of 2025, the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution for fiscal year 2026; the motion carried with all commissioners voting in favor. Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed and Chief Financial Officer Mike Lamb told the board there had been no changes to the proposed budget since it was publicly advertised. On a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible the board adopted the 2026 budget as presented by Reed and Lamb.
The transcript does not specify the total dollar amount of the adopted 2026 budget. The commissioners also approved the December 2025 pension report as presented by HR Administrator Mary Huston.
At the meeting the board approved an agreement to retain Keller Engineer, Inc. for the 2026 fiscal year and said the formal appointment of Keller Engineer would occur at the county's reorganizational meeting on Jan. 6, 2026.
Routine financial business included approval of accounts payable dated Dec. 30, 2025, totaling $112,913.87 across funds (General Fund $98,764.92; Debt Service $14,148.95).
The board entered an executive session for personnel matters during the meeting and later adjourned. The county clerk signed the minutes as Stacey M. Shives, Chief Clerk.
