Dodge County supervisors unanimously adopted the county One- & Six-Year Road Improvement Plan following a public hearing on March 4, 2026. Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert summarized projects on the one-year plan and showed a map of planned work; no members of the public testified for or against the plan.
The resolution approving the plan was read into the record by Supervisor Tawney and the board authorized signatures to implement the projects. Huppert told the board his department will advertise and proceed with bids and right-of-way work necessary for the projects, including a bridge and overlay project on County Road 2. He also said his staff is assisting with environmental requirements for a railroad crossing at County Road 6 and Shoreline Drive.
The plan establishes the county’s priorities for road and bridge work for the coming year and for six-year capital planning. The board closed the hearing at 10:39 a.m. and voted unanimously to adopt the plan; the board adjourned at 10:41 a.m. until its next regular meeting on March 18, 2026.
Implementation steps announced at the meeting include bid letting for the County Road 2 project and progressing right-of-way acquisition tied to a port authority project on Morningside Road. No funding breakdown or specific contract awards were announced at the March 4 meeting.
