Fulton County Commissioners voted Dec. 30 to adopt the county's proposed 2026 budget and to approve the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution with no increase in taxes for fiscal year 2026. The adoption followed a presentation by Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed and CFO Mike Lamb; Reed told the board there had been no changes since the budget's public advertisement.
The action included approval of routine financial business. Commissioners approved the Dec. 30 accounts payable in the total amount of $112,913.87 (General Fund $98,764.92; Debt Service $14,148.95). HR Administrator Mary Huston presented the December 2025 Pension Report, which the board approved as presented.
The motions to adopt the budget and to approve the tax levy were moved by Commissioner Steven L. Wible and Commissioner Hervey P. Hann, respectively, and were adopted unanimously by the three commissioners in attendance. No dollar total for the overall 2026 budget is specified in the meeting record.
The board noted that Keller Engineer, Inc. will be appointed at the Reorganizational Meeting scheduled for Jan. 6, 2026. The meeting record shows no public comment on the budget and no amendments to the advertised figures.
