Fulton County approves BFJRA charter amendments and appoints member

Fulton County commissioners approved two resolutions from the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority at their Dec. 30 meeting: Resolution 9 of 2025 to amend the authority’s articles of incorporation to increase the number of board members, and Resolution 10 of 2025 to authorize the authority to appoint police officers who would have the same property-related authorities as other Commonwealth police.

Representatives Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod of BFJRA presented the proposed amendments. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute both resolutions; the motions passed with all commissioners in favor. The board then appointed Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the BFJRA, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027.
