Fulton County adopts 2026 budget and keeps tax rate unchanged

Fulton County commissioners unanimously adopted the county
9s proposed 2026 budget and approved Resolution 8 of 2025, the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution, with no increase to the tax rate. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the levy resolution; the motion passed with all commissioners voting in favor.

Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed told the board there were no changes to the proposed budget since its public advertisement. CFO Mike Lamb presented the budget figures and supporting materials during the meeting. The commissioners voted to adopt the budget "as presented" by Reed and Lamb.

The action follows the board
9s routine review of county finances and comes ahead of the board
9s Reorganizational Meeting on January 6, 2026. The adoption does not indicate any supplemental appropriations or tax increases beyond those enumerated in Resolution 8 of 2025.
