Fulton County commissioners approved and executed a State Interconnectivity Grant in the amount of $230,699.51 to be used toward multiple 911-related maintenance projects, and moved to hire a per-diem 911 dispatcher.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton presented the grant for approval. The grant is designated to support SouthCentral Mountain CAD Maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain CHE Maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain ESInet Maintenance, Fulton NG911 GIS Maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain Battery Upgrade, and Fulton ILEC Maintenance projects. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute the grant; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved hiring Troy Wagaman as a Per Diem 911 Dispatcher, effective pending required clearances. A short Salary Board meeting at 9:48 a.m. set the salary for the new hire. The employment action was approved by the commissioners during the same session.
