Rounds suggested removing the parenthetical phrase "(within a business district or upon a sidewalk)" from subsection 373.10(i), noting that the chief, multiple directors and the Safety Committee have already reviewed these sections several times. "373.10 (i) - Remove (within a business district or upon a sidewalk)," he said, presenting the item as part of the council’s routine code review.

The council asked staff to continue vetting the proposed language changes with department heads and the Safety Committee and to return any recommended drafting language for formal consideration.
