At its Aug. 1, 2023 meeting, the Greenville City Council approved several routine measures, including a small capital purchase for public safety, a property transfer, and a personnel consent.
The council voted to amend the 2023-2024 Capital Improvements Budget to include the purchase of two speed signs for the Public Safety Department at an estimated cost of $6,600. Councilperson Johnson moved the budget amendment; Councilperson Lehman seconded and the motion was unanimously adopted.
On a separate motion, the council approved a Quit Claim Deed related to Lot 21 of Macomber's Addition (in the vicinity of "Black Field") and authorized the City Manager to sign the deed on the city's behalf. Councilperson Moss moved the deed approval; Councilperson Cunliffe seconded and the motion was unanimously adopted.
The council provided consent to the City Manager's appointment of Kristina Brott as the city's Clerk; Councilperson Moss moved the consent and Councilperson Johnson seconded. The council also approved moving the regular October meeting from Oct. 17, 2023 to Oct. 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
Earlier in the meeting the council approved its consent agenda, which included the July 18, 2023 minutes, payroll for the period ending July 22, 2023 in the amount of $164,419.91, and accounts payable for the period ending July 21, 2023 in the amount of $1,866,492.28. All motions in the recorded segments were described as unanimously adopted; the transcript does not include individual roll-call tallies.
