Greenville council approves consent agenda, payroll and multiple mayoral reappointments

The Greenville City Council unanimously approved its consent agenda during the Dec. 5 meeting, accepting routine business items that included payroll and accounts payable authorizations and a slate of mayoral reappointments.

Councilperson Moss moved to approve the consent agenda as presented; Councilperson Johnson seconded. The motion was "unanimously adopted," the clerk recorded.

The consent agenda approved the minutes of Nov. 21, 2023; payroll totaling $168,847.73; and accounts payable totaling $1,121,875.45. The council also approved a series of mayoral reappointments with specified term end dates: Doug Stek to the Zoning Board of Appeals and Adjustments (term through Dec. 31, 2026); James Popma to the Planning Commission (term through Dec. 31, 2026); Larry Alman and Ryan Dreyer to the Transit Local Advisory Council (terms through Dec. 31, 2025); Laurel Christensen to the Flat River Community Library Board of Trustees (term through Dec. 31, 2027); Lloyd Scoby to the Compensation Commission (term through Dec. 31, 2028); Pete Frye to the Planning Commission (term through Dec. 31, 2026); and Ruth Hansen to the Greenville Area Community Center Board (term through Dec. 31, 2027).
