Gateway West team briefs commissioners on route near Cokeville; landowner engagement to continue

Aleta Brown, pre-construction project manager for Gateway West, briefed the Lincoln County commissioners Oct. 3 on project details for PacifiCorp’s Gateway West Segment 4/D.3 and a proposed route near Cokeville.

Brown said the project team’s next steps include continued evaluation of a potential reroute, active engagement with affected landowners and coordination with the Bureau of Land Management to resolve site-specific concerns. She described ongoing efforts to work with landowners to address specific issues tied to the transmission-line corridor.

The commissioners discussed the update; no formal county action or vote on route approval was recorded in the meeting minutes, and Brown said the process will continue with landowner outreach and BLM engagement before firm route decisions are made.

The Gateway West presentation indicates the county will remain engaged as project routing and landowner negotiations proceed.
